John Updike died on the 27th of this month from lung cancer. He was 76 years old. With over 50 books and hundreds of articles, Updike’s work has made a lasting impression on American letters. To commemorate Updike’s life, the Library has created a display of his books. Come check them out!

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday, we have created a wonderful display of books in the front foyer display case of the Library. The display will be up for the remainder of January. Enjoy!
Professor Janice Gohm Webster, the 2008 recipient of the Lyman Award for Excellence in Teaching, will be sharing her Meaningful Books with us on Monday, Jan. 26th, 3:30 pm in the Miller Information Commons’ Vista Room. Refreshments will be served. Hoping to see you at the Library!
